Scented Courtyard Garden - Bristol

This small courtyard was completely modernised to provide a sophisticated space where the clients could escape the pressures of city living. Raised planters double up as benches to maximize the available seating in the garden. Raising the planting level also increased the privacy provided by planting. Beautifully patterned Indian sandstone paving is used with smooth tatajuba decking to provide a low maintenance hard-standing. Attractive and fragrant evergreen climbers will quickly cover the high quality fine trellis which surrounds the garden. A dramatic Paulownia provides architectural interest, the tree will be pollarded annually for large ornamental leaves.
