The NS&I Garden - Chelsea 2006

The NS&I Garden was a City Garden at RHS Chelsea Flower Show 2006. The space was intended as roof garden for a young, professional couple requiring a sophisticated roof garden. It featured a bold and original sculpture called ´The Architect´, by artist Jilly Sutton. Bespoke limestone sized pavers unified with shapes in the sculpture. The walls were decorated with strips of limestone to create interest and to balance the composition with the sculpture. The planting scheme featured striking and architectural plants from the Restionaceae family and various rich coloured Irises.

The garden was awarded a Silver-Gilt medal, narrowly missing a Gold medal. The garden, was sponsored by National Savings and Investments, and was one of four roof gardens in the City Garden category. Visit the RHS website for further details.
